Overview
We are traditionally trained Iboga providers from the jungles of Gabon, Africa. We have spent months training with 10th generation Shaman Moughenda Mikala to have the blessing of the tribe and the medicine to perform Iboga healing ceremonies. Everything that we know and do comes from the Shaman and the medicine.
In the traditional psycho-spiritual Iboga ceremony we learn about ourselves on all levels: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Iboga helps to break down ego illusions, and release the past, false beliefs, traumas, lies, and attachments.
Our mission is to make this incredible healing plant available to people who are ready for true healing. We help them by cleaning out the mind and body to get them ready to reconnect with their soul. Life is not a healing journey, you have the ability to heal and start building the life that you’ve always wanted to live and we have the best tools to help you with that.

Substance sourcing
The Iboga used is harvested by the Gabonese people in the heart of the West-African jungle in the traditional manner. The Iboga used comes from the Shaman himself.
Intake / Screening
- Safety is our #1 concern. To guarantee the process will be 100% safe physically and spiritually for you we have the following screening process:
- Visit us at www.bwitiboga.com and have a good look around. Get familiar with the schedule and medical safety requirements.
- Send us an email or schedule a call with our founder and lead provider David by clicking on “Get Started”.
- During your call David will answer all your questions and ask a few of his own.
- If greenlit, you secure your spot with a 30% deposit. Once received you will get a pre-retreat package detailing everything you need to know to get the most out of your experience.
Ceremony Preparation
- On your call with us we will go over some of your history and give you a personalized plan to get the most out of your Iboga ceremony, but overall the process is pretty straightforward: cut out caffeine, tobacco, alcohol and weed at least 10 days before arrival, and get clear on what you want out of your experience with us
Ceremony
- Before ceremony we have a private counseling session with each guest where we discuss their personal targets and any questions they might have about the process.
- Ceremony begins after sunset with a Firetalk. This is where we share the history of the medicine and Bwiti tradition. Guests take the medicine orally as ground up root bark.
- At some point guests will start to feel the medicine and need to lay down on one of the mats laid out in the temple area. There they will stay and let the medicine do its work until just before sunrise.
- Our staff is present throughout the ceremony to help guests with their every need: drinking water, getting to and from a nearby bathroom, purging or offering guidance as needed. We create a very safe environment for our guests to allow them to fully surrender to the experience.
- When the time is right, we begin the process of the Spiritual Discovery. Our providers will guide you through the process of meeting your soul and get the answers to the questions you have about your life.
Integration
- Integration is a key part of the Iboga experience. We offer 3 integration sessions with every retreat package, and we are always available through email and whatsapp.
Accommodations
- Wood cottage in the forest
- Private room
- Multiple washrooms if not a private one
Itinerary
A day when guests settle in and make themselves comfortable. After dinner we gather around the fire we do an orientation. We share about who we are and what we want to achieve in the coming week. We discuss the retreat schedule and general information about the retreat.
We have a private counseling session with each guest where we discuss their personal targets and any questions you might have about the process. The ceremony begins after sunset with a Firetalk. This is where we share the history of the medicine and Bwiti tradition, wisdom on how to get the most out of the experience, and the Bwiti Keys. Guests take the medicine that is given as ground up bark of the Iboga root.
At some point you will want to lay down on one of the mats laid out in the temple area. There you will stay until just before sunrise and let the medicine do its work.
Our staff is present throughout the ceremony to help you with your needs. Drinking water, getting to and from a nearby bathroom, purging (vomiting) or offering guidance as needed. We create a very safe environment for you to focus on your experience.
When the time is right, we will begin the process of introducing you to yourself. This process has been used by the Bwiti for many generations. By guiding you, you can get answers to any questions you have about your life. You may be able to your soul/higher self/spirit.
This day is about introspection, insight, release, acceptance, and rest. So much can happen during the Iboga journey that many insights and realizations happen on Magic Day. As the intensity of the medicine settles, the gifts of Iboga are presented. It is a common experience to receive intuitive messages and deep personal knowledge in the silence of Processing Day.
This is an important time to reconnect with nature. Iboga has cleaned us out and opened us up to the energies around us. This is the time to reconnect with the nature of being.
Depending on the weather and the season we will go to the beach, the SPA, a walk in the woods, a salt cave. Something not too taxing.
Before ceremony you will take a Spiritual Shower. Its purpose is to completely release the things that Iboga has been clearing out for you. In the space created you can invite your deepest dreams and wishes to come into being.
The setup will be the same as the first ceremony, but no two experiences are the same. Now that you have a relationship with the medicine, you will be more trusting and ready to get to work!
This is another day all about introspection, insight, release, acceptance, and rest. Your providers will always be within reach if you are in need of counseling or guidance.
Another day to important time to reconnect with nature. You are clean, awake, and aware.
After sunset we gather one last time for a closing ceremony. Your provider will give some closing words and invite anyone who wants to share their experience to speak.
Breakfast and lunch are served while guests wait to be taken to the train or airport.
