SOUL MEDICINE is an 8 day ceremonial psilocybin retreat in serene San Pancho, Mexico. We focus on your deep healing and connection to your most authentic self. This is an 8-day journey to move beyond the contained mind into the fullest expression of yourself. We work at the intersection of earth-based ancestral traditions and modern somatic psychotherapy with the influence of the work of Dr. Gabor Maté and Compassionate Inquiry.

During our week together, we will take you on a multidimensional journey to heal, remember, explore and grow together with a special focus on the nurturing quality of a like-minded community.

Our safely held container, by a team of highly trained professional and medical staff, allows our guests to journey into the depths of our inner landscape, to release any past traumas, pains and blockages holding us back from living life fully.

Together, we create a space to explore ourselves through practices of somatic movement, meditation, sound healing, and ritual for personal exploration and expansion. Holding and nourishing each other in the community.

Our work bridges the gap between shamanic ritualist work, modern psychology, and transpersonal philosophy to offer the most comprehensive tools for long-lasting change and healing.

We offer a comprehensive post-retreat integration program and the possibility to work in a one-on-one setting with one of our skilled experts to guarantee ongoing support for our growing global community.

We believe in a somatic, integrative approach to healing and offer intentional workshops, classes and integration circle to allow what has been revealed in ceremony to move through our bodies.

Our Processes

We work solely with someone from the local community that has been working with the local psilocybin cubensis mushrooms for over a decade. He and his family have a ranch in the neighboring state of Jalisco, where they create healing experiences mainly for the Mexican community.

He has a very deep and respectful connection to the medicine and cultivates the mushrooms from the spores of the local medicine collected in the mountains. This medicine is prayed for and we honor it as a sacrament for healing. The mushrooms are made into a powder to guarantee a more equal distribution of the psychoactive substance among the mix.

We work with a team of 3-4 facilitators + 2 people in the kitchen, plus a volunteer

Intake and Screening Process

People can book directly through our website + fill in the attached intake form, we will contact them afterward for a first check-in call. If not, we like to set up a discovery call first to see if the retreat is a good fit and if people are physically and mentally healthy to join the retreat.

We require a comprehensive intake form as well as a liability waiver to be filled out by all of our guests.

Preparation Process

We connect with people upfront, inform them about the ideal diet, as well as lowering consumption of drugs, alcohol, and social media. We give advice on how to set intentions and connect with your individual purpose of joining the retreat.

Ceremonies

Our ceremonies are held outside in a circle around a sacred fire. The traditions we learned follow the ceremonial etiquette of the red path. The fire is the central point of the ceremony and is kept in a sacred way that creates alchemy for transforming any energies in the space.

We open the space with a prayer with tobacco and close the space with another prayer and tobacco.

Once we feel the energy of the medicine present in the ceremonial space, we guide the journey through sound healing and healing songs.

We always have enough people working in the ceremonial space to accompany any individual processes if needed. If needed we will support through individual energetic cleanses as well.

Integration

We believe that integration is an integral part of the work and the key to stabilizing the realizations and teachings of the medicine. During the retreat, we have 3 different integration circles, which normally are a mix of conversational and somatic practices. Practices that will help our guests reflect even more deeply on their experience and also receive a mirror through the other participants.

After the retreat, we offer 2 more integration calls of 90min each and we have a network of integration specialists for anyone that would like to journey further on their individual path.
