New Life Ayahuasca Retreat invites you to Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas, Costa Rica for a 5 day Ayahuasca retreat. We are dedicated to helping individuals find hope and restore balance in their lives with the use of plant medicine. We offer a compassionate approach to spiritual healing, allowing guests to experience Ayahuasca through wholesome practice. Our focus revolves around five key factors:

The retreat center was founded by Jeanae White and Matthew Mormello, a husband and wife team who have personally experienced the transformative power of ayahuasca and now look to share that experience with the world.
Matthew and I both came to plant medicine therapy for addiction. We had tried many different ‘traditional’ treatments in the United States but none provided us any relief from the ongoing depression, anxiety and hopelessness that fueled our addictions.
We met in 2014 in Costa Rica at an ibogaine treatment center. It was my first time using plant medicine, but Matthew had already done ibogaine in 2011 which was documented on HBO’s VICE tv. Unfortunately, he ended up relapsing shortly after that treatment and was back in Costa Rica to try again.
One thing that makes our retreat unique is that we are a husband and wife team of ayahusqueros and I think that helps a lot of female participants feel safe, given the prevalence of sexual abuse allegations within the psychedelic community.
We are Westerners, so for some people that adds value due to our ability to communicate without a translator and that we understand the struggles and demands of living in a Western Culture. We offer smaller groups with a maximum of 14 participants which allows us to be able to get to know everyone on an individual basis.
