Psychedelic Retreats in Amsterdam

Finding psychedelic retreats in Amsterdam is almost a natural given that Amsterdam has a long history with psychedelics. Psychoactive drug use increased rapidly in the 60’s, but Dutch law enforcement found enforcement and prosecution difficult, producing little if any reduction in drug sales or consumption.  From that point on, the Dutch government viewed drug use as a health, not criminal issue.

Typically retreats are structured multi-day program, providing a controlled environment supervised by trained professionals, so that guests can consume psychedelic substances such as psilocybin (found in magic truffles) in order to experience a mystical journey. After the retreat, time is spent integrating the psychedelic experience, attempting to understand what you learned from the process.
